Step one — for every project

makan Blueprint™: pre-project interior design consultation before you commit.

Our interior design consultation gets your project conceptualized, scoped, and priced in 2–3 weeks — before you commit to anything.

Why it exists

Nobody should commit to a project they can't yet see or price.

In the conventional model you appoint a designer, fall in love with a concept, and only then discover what it costs. The tender comes back over budget, value engineering begins, and the decisions that made the design worth approving are the first things removed.

makan Blueprint™ is a pre-project consultation that inverts that. Before there is a full engagement, a contract, or a commitment of any size, you see the concept and the real number at the same time — built from a bill of quantities, not from a rate per square metre.

If the number doesn't work, you find out in 2–3 weeks instead of five months.

What you receive

Four deliverables, yours to keep.

  1. Space assessment

Site documentation, measured survey, and an honest read of what the space can and cannot do — including the constraints a landlord or base build imposes.

  2. Layout options

Two or three plans with spatial flow resolved — circulation, adjacencies, and the zones your brief requires, tested against how your people actually work.

  3. Design concept

A direction aligned to your brand, with material palette and atmosphere — grounded in research rather than in our taste or a reference image.

  4. Budget snapshot

A cost plan and a defined scope — the design scope planning most projects skip — built from a real bill of quantities at ±10–20% accuracy, so you know what is in the number and what is not.

How it works

Four steps to your Blueprint.

  1. Step 01

    Site and research

Interior design planning starts here. We document the space and interrogate the brief — your team structure, growth plan, brand, and what the space has to achieve. Where you don't have answers yet, we help you find them.

  2. Step 02

    Layouts and concept direction

Plans are developed and tested, and the concept direction takes shape. Our cost team works alongside in parallel from this point — so the pricing follows the design rather than trailing behind it.

  3. Step 03

    Cost plan

The bill of quantities is built against named specifications, and the scope is written down explicitly — what is included, what is excluded, and where the number would move if a decision changed.

  4. Step 04

    Presentation

We walk you and your stakeholders through all four deliverables in one session — the concept, the plans, the number, and the reasoning behind each decision. Then the Blueprint is yours.

Then you choose

Three things you can do with a Blueprint.

There is no obligation in any direction. This is the point of the exercise.
